Anne BonnyLittle Ann we have discovered was abused by her previous owner. Kicked in the head, we think her jaw was dislocated or broken. Everything healed "off" and she can't eat on her right side and is in pain. We're working with the vet to find the right combo of meds to allow her to eat pain free. In the meantime, she is getting tiny bits of Thanksgiving ham.
FinbarFin has recurring stomatitis and is not finding relief with his current meds. We need to take another look at his teeth.
HamletHamlet has stomatitis and has almost no teeth. His vet is currently working out a treatment plan to help him get better.
LinusLinus has terribly matted fur and he is waiting for an appointment for a medical shave. He explicitly stated, "No Lion Cuts"!!
OthelloOthello has a hematoma in both ears. It is chronic and resistant to treatment. We need to get his left ear reevaluated by the vet.
PearlPearl is doing better. The current combo of meds seems to be keeping her FiV in check. She is interacting more with the other cats and has a nice spring in her step. She’s not out of the woods, but heading in the right direction.
Sore EyeEbony is a foster cat who is being treated for a blow to her right eye. She’s on meds and staying at the Retreat until she’s well enough and its warm enough for her to return home.
StellaStella is responding very well to her thyroid & pain meds. She is bright eyed and her fur silky smooth. Her lesions have almost disappeared. She takes her meds like a trooper most days, which is well as she will have to take them for now on.
Vincent’s StitchesVincent had his cancer surgery on 27 Jan and did extremely well. His left ear and ear canal was removed and costs were extensive. You can see his cost and read about the surgery here.
