Jeremiah and Winston were two special cats. Jeremiah the victim of a dog fighting gang and Winston a lost kitten found by our vet. Together they became a bonded pair and each made the other a better cat.

Winston 04-28-24Winston sleeping toward the end of his days. After Jeremiah died, Winston became very lethargic wandering the Retreat looking for his pal. He after several months, he began to just wast away. A blood cancer dormant in his system attacked and killed his bone marrow and his red blood cell production.

Winston visits Jeremiah at the ER VetJPGJeremiah collapsed on the floor Friday evening and he was rushed to the Animal ER. He stayed over the weekend, but wouldn't eat. Winston came to visit on Sunday to urge Jeremiah to eat and he began to eat. During his on and off stays at the ER, Winston was with him. When it became apparent his heart was giving out, Winston was with his buddy at the end.
