Shelters nationwide report their intakes and outflow to two national data bases and also maintain numbers on shelter deaths. These numbers provide information to researchers and grant makers. Below are links to Mandarin’s Retreat data in the national databases and our Asilomar Statistics by month.
Asilomar Statistics
The Asilomar Accords were developed to provide a uniform method for collecting and reporting shelter data. They provide “transparency” into shelter operations and provide an indication of animal survival rate. Mandarin’s Retreat’s monthly numbers are uploaded to the two national databases each month.
